Fashion designer Nancy Volpe Beringer captured the hearts of judges and viewers on season 18 of Bravo’s Project Runway, a Survivor-style reality show that aired last winter.

Beringer and her brand want to help alter the fashion industry by promoting more inclusivity and adaptable design while continuing to be sustainable with pre-owned luxury items.

Some of the female entrepreneurs creating fashion with impact be it through repairs, disability awareness or artisan rights.

My funniest mistake actually turned out to be one of my most successful mistakes.

"I was blessed at my age to be able to pursue this dream and I wanted to be able to give back through my fashion," says Volpe Beringer. "Everybody is gravitating towards it. People wanting to share their
smile and I just love it."

Having persevered through 13 episodes of the elimination competition, Volpe-Beringer is now one of four contestants in the season finale, to be broadcasted Thursday night on the Bravo TV network.

Nancy hopes that her appearance as the oldest contestant ever to compete on “Project Runway” will jump -start the expansion of her brand, and help her inspire others to follow their passion, regardless of age or circumstances.

Nancy Volpe-Beringer — a Drexel alum and the in-house designer at Joan Shepp — created Whack’s stunning Grammy dress/coat combo by printing a painting by local artist Liz Goldberg on a floor-length gown. Her other offerings are made from shiny fabrics in dramatic shapes.

Over 30 designs from professional and hobbyist designers will be featured in the annual event, including six designs from acclaimed red-carpet designer and show director, Nancy Volpe Beringer.
